At a service held in Bellshill Central Parish Church on Thursday, 10 March 2016 the Rev. Kevin de Beer was admitted as a Minister of the Church of Scotland and Inducted as the Minister of Bellshill: Central. Kevin joins the Church of Scotland following a period of familiarisation at East Kilbride: Moncrieff with the Rev. Neil Buchanan, and 25 years in the Methodist Church in South Africa. The Service was led by the Moderator, the Rev. Derek Gunn, with the sermon preached by the Rev. Calum Stark, who himself has recently started a new ministry at Bellshill: West Parish Church.
