ST ANDREW’S HOSPICE Posted on 09 Mar 2017

At the March meeting of Hamilton Presbytery, the Moderator welcomed Ms Louise Arthur, a member of the fund-raising team for St. Andrew’s Hospice, Airdrie to Presbytery, and invited her to address the members. She spoke on the history, services, and values of the Hospice, together with the challenges being faced to ensure compliance with the environmental requirements of Health Inspection Scotland, especially in relation to modern room standards. She advised the Presbytery that the hospice was at an important stage in its re-development programme with an urgent need of support for the Capital Fund which remained significantly short of their target, being just over the half-way mark. She appealed to congregations to continue to support the work of the hospice, and do what they could to assist with the Capital Appeal. Her address was warmly received.
