PRESBYTERY MISSION STATEMENT
At its meeting on 20th June, 1995 the Presbytery approved the
following Mission Statement as one which reflects its role:
To bring glory to God in working to advance Christ's Kingdom within
the bounds of the Presbytery and beyond.
In so doing:
- To work positively to ensure that there is a strong Christian
witness within each community in the Presbytery, with
opportunities provided for meaningful worship, fellowship,
teaching and service at a local level.
- To ensure that appropriate support, fellowship and direction
is provided for ministers and lay field staff serving within
the Presbytery.
- To ensure that the views of the local church are represented
on issues of wider concern, and that local congregations are
encouraged to respond constructively to local, national and
international needs and concerns.
