SETTING APART AT ST JOHN’S Posted on 24 Nov 2017  |  Website

Last evening, the Presbytery met at Hamilton: St John’s for the purpose of Setting Apart to the Office of Reader Ms Lorna Fyfe, who works as Director of Business Support with the Bethany Christian Trust. The occasion was a joyful one, shared with members of Lorna’s family, some friends, and members of St John’s, where Lorna completed her training placements with the Rev. Joanne Hood. She also spent some time training with the Rev. Gavin Black (Motherwell), and also with the Rev. Les Brunger (Uddingston) who was present along with other representatives of the Presbytery. The Moderator conducted worship and presided over the Setting Apart, whilst the Rev. Joanne Hood preached an inspired sermon, drawing on the image, both verbal and visual, of the love of God whose strong arms are always ready to embrace and support His erring children, no matter what they may have done.

The Church of Scotland Presbytery of Hamilton is a charity registered in Scotland No: SC048680.
