Directory of Provision

A Directory of Community Provision

NB: THIS IS NOW AN OLD DOCUMENT; THE LAST SUBSTANTIVE CHANGES WERE IN MARCH 2000!

This directory of community provision was compiled under the auspices of the Presbytery's Church and Social Interests Committee. The on-line document was produced by exporting the Word original, so it is simply a single, long page - with all the limitations that implies.

  • Future demand will mean a need to increase hospice and day services.
  • Development of community and domiciliary services to enable terminally ill people to exercise the choice to die at home.
  • Common standards of training, practice and models of care need to be developed in hospital and community settings.
  • Palliative care should be more widely available and not just at the terminal stage of illness.
