The vision of the Church of Scotland is to be a church which seeks to inspire the people of Scotland and beyond with the Good News of Jesus Christ through enthusiastic worshipping, witnessing, nurturing and serving communities.
The Presbytery of Hamilton plays a leading role in the organisation and allocation of ministries in the Lanarkshire areas. Representatives from all the Churches of Scotland in this Presbytery area meet together regularly to discuss, hear reports, and make plans.

Hamilton Presbytery signs new twinning link with Kwahu Presbytery in Ghana
A four-person delegation from the Presbytery of Kwahu in Ghana were very impressed with what they saw during a recent ten-day visit to the Presbytery of Hamilton during which a revised Twinning Agreement was signed.
Hamilton Presbytery has elected as its Moderator for 2014-15 the Rev. Fiona Nicolson, minister of Coatbridge: New St. Andrew’s Church, in succession to the Rev. Dr. Lindsay Schluter, Larkhall Trinity Church.
